The iconic “Special Sauce” from the Golden Arched Fast food giant is a truly great thing to behold. In my opinion there is no better sauce to top a burger with. This will cure that fast food craving and then some. See notes after the recipe for variations on this classic sauce.

Uses
After the obvious choice of burgers. I love to use this to dip fries and onion rings, as well as on pizza. I make a pizza affectionately called the “Return of the Mac” that is topped with the mac sauce after the bake. I use a squeeze bottle to apply, just remember to blend up the sauce with an immersion blender first as the chopped onion and relish will get stuck in the squeeze bottle.

- Measuring Cups/Spoons
- Mixing Bowl
- Storage container
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp French Dressing
- 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
- 4 Tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
- 2 Tbsp Finely Diced White Onion
- 1 tsp White Vinegar
- 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl, stir well to combine.
- Use right away or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors mingle together.
- Stores for about a week refrigerated.
- For a smoother sauce that easy to squeeze from a squeeze bottle, combine like in step 1, then blend thoroughly with an immersion blender. I do this all the time to make an easy to apply sauce for big mac pizzas.
